Call for contributions (english)

This call for contributions is initiated by the ACTIVmap team, a project supported by by the COGIT team (IGN) and the LIMOS laboratory (CNRS/UCA), and in particular from collaborations with the CRDV's team of orientation and mobility therapists (Clermont-Ferrand). The practical objective of this project is to develop a map design assistance software for orientation and mobility therapists. We hope to obtain the first software prototypes at the end of the thesis by Gauthier Fillières-Riveau, at the end of 2020.

This software will allow a professional to select a neighborhood or a sector on a world map, then make some adjustments, before produce a computer file readt to be printed, i.e. thermally inflated, or in 3D printing. The considered settings are related to the needs associated with the manufacture of the map:

This work is based on IGN's expertise in geomatics, and on the computer learning and geometry skills of LIMOS.

For this second collection, we need maps designed for or by orientation and mobility therapists, which describe a neighbourhood or crossroads, with information on the use that has been made of it (type of audience, objective of the map), and information about the corresponding location. This map can be sent in a digital format (pdf, svg or ai for example), or be a photograph of the physical map.

Please attach the completed consent form (french) to these submissions.
